I used to use Electrum years back and know how to pair ledger with it. I give LL access through Comodo as usual, think it was that i did not wit long enough to sink with it on, that's irrelevant. It can barely stream video and more than five chrome windows open it lags/fan speed is like a petrol lawnmower (iNtel Centrino inside.lol) Yea it's my laptop, it's actually my old spare that i am using that is the problem i think, it's an Acer Aspire 5920G. Otherwise, you have no choice but to start using Windows 10 / Mac / Linux, or to use Electrum for BTC. Try to allow all connections for Ledger Live in your firewall, and see if that help. Sometimes is working normally few minutes and then crash, sometimes is just crush in a matter of a few seconds. Ledger does not officially support Windows 7, and I can tell you from my own experiences that Ledger Live is not working on my Win7 as it should. My laptop is ancient on Win7, could this be a problem? I have closed down everything on task manager and it shows 4 instances of LL running and using 30% CPU, 40% mem with fan on FULL. I usd to use Electrum years ago, think i could try that (delete the folder in appdata first though) Will try again with everything off or try BCH. I have just turned Comodo and firewalls OFF, i have also checked on Ledger Website and all supported coins are all OK. When i know goto Setting when not logged into ledger live/BTC it does show -Secure Element 1.5.5 and MCU 1.7. Thanks for reply, i did have Comodo send a few messages to allow ledger live access which i did. To check firmware : Navigate to Settings > Device > Firmware -> The firmware version is displayed under Secure Element. Regarding 1.3.8, it is version of bitcoin app, there is no firmware with such number. Nano S can be also used with Electrum, and in this way you can check whether the problem is in Nano S or in Ledger Live ( something else). Some tips related to connection issues and how to fix them can be found on the official website : Fix connection issues This should work after a few attempts.Dragonizer, I see you update to latest 1.5.5 firmware, and I guess you are using latest Ledger Live and coin apps? If you can confirm that all is up to date, then you should check your internet connection and your antivirus / firewall settings. If Ledger Manager does NOT display the message "INSTALLING FIRMWARE", then start again from Step-1. Please be patient here for a few minutes and see if it works. When you see the "UPDATE" text once again on your Ledger Nano-S Device, wait 4-5 minutes to see if Ledger Manager displays the message "INSTALLING FIRMWARE" or not (see below). You should see the screen below on your Ledger Nano-S Device: This should fix the issue.ĬONNECT your Ledger Nano-S Device again WHILE HOLDING THE LEFT BUTTON and keep holding it for 5-6 seconds. If so, just update the driver (right-click on the "driver name" and select "UPDATE DRIVER SOFTWARE"). Open "Control Panel" > "Device Manager" > "Human Interface Devices"Īnd see if you have a "yellow mark" on one of the drivers. You are already following this guide (from Ledger Wallet Official Website) to update your FIRMWARE but stuck with the screen below on your Ledger Nano-S Device? (This "error" happens in Step 5 while following LedgerWallet's official update guide) I wasted a lot of time, but found a "fix" on Twitter (but unfortunately don't remember the name of the person who posted it) and it worked for me, so I thought I can save you (at least some PC / MAC users) from losing some of your hair. Ledger Nano-S is a great product but I was almost getting a heart attack while updating it to their new 1.4.1 Firmware. GOT STUCK WITH THE "UPDATE" MESSAGE ON YOUR DEVICE?
